PUTTING GOD FIRST

Putting God first is a central theme in the Bible, and there are many verses that provide guidance on how to do this. Here are some of them:

  1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart: In Deuteronomy 6:5, it says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
  2. Seek first the kingdom of God: In Matthew 6:33, Jesus says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
  3. Honor God with your possessions: Proverbs 3:9-10 says, "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."
  4. Obey God's commands: In John 14:15, Jesus says, "If you love me, keep my commands."
  5. Trust in God: Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

In summary, putting God first involves loving Him with all our heart, seeking His kingdom and righteousness first, honoring Him with our possessions, obeying His commands, and trusting in Him. By doing so, we demonstrate our faith and devotion to God and align our priorities with His will.
