PROTECTION FROM EVIL

In the Bible, there are several verses that provide guidance on how to protect oneself from evil. Here are some of them:

  1. Put on the armor of God: In Ephesians 6:10-18, it says that we should put on the armor of God, which includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit.
  2. Resist the devil: James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
  3. Pray for protection: In Psalm 91:1-2, it says, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"
  4. Avoid evil influences: Proverbs 4:14-15 says, "Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way."
  5. Seek wisdom: Proverbs 2:6-7 says, "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless."

In summary, to protect oneself from evil, one should put on the armor of God, resist the devil, pray for protection, avoid evil influences, and seek wisdom.
