CHRIST CENTERED LIFE

CHRIST CENTERED LIFE

A Christ-centered life is one that is focused on following Jesus Christ and His teachings. Here are some brief biblical notes on what it means to live a Christ-centered life:

  1. Surrender to Christ: To live a Christ-centered life, we must first surrender our lives to Christ. This means giving up our own desires and submitting to His will. As Jesus said in Matthew 16:24, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."
  2. Obey His commands: Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands." Living a Christ-centered life means obeying His commands, which include loving God and loving others as ourselves.
  3. Focus on eternal things: Living a Christ-centered life means focusing on eternal things rather than temporary pleasures or possessions. As Paul wrote in Colossians 3:2, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."
  4. Seek to serve others: Jesus came to serve others, and He calls us to do the same. Living a Christ-centered life means putting the needs of others before our own, as Jesus taught in Mark 10:45, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
  5. Cultivate a personal relationship with Christ: To live a Christ-centered life, we must cultivate a personal relationship with Him. This means spending time in prayer, reading the Bible, and seeking to know Him more deeply. As Jesus said in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
Overall, living a Christ-centered life means putting Jesus at the center of everything we do and seeking to follow Him with our whole hearts.
